OpenXposure, an outdoor media owner specialising in affordable Outdoor Advertising in the Western Cape, recently launched their new website.
www.openxposure.co.za.
This is a user-friendly portal to view ALL their billboards. It integrates with google maps, so that you can zoom in and out, to see the exact position of each billboard. When you then click on the billboard position, you will view the information sheet, which will give you the billboard dimensions, description of the viewing audience, and a photograph and sample of a recent advertiser. Simply click though the links, to make enquiries about availabilities and rates of sites. Easy planning of geographic reach can be done by virtue of viewing the map of the whole Western Cape.
For their launch, they offered one lucky advertiser ONE MONTH OF FREE ADVERTISING. This competition was won by PR Pools, and their advert was on display on a billboard in the CBD of Milnerton, facing Koeberg Road, for the month of August:

Paul (PR Pools) and Conrad (In Touch Outdoor) in front of the PR Pools billboard.
The OpenXposure holding consists of two categories of road-side billboards:
- Tri-vision billboards which rotate to display three consecutive adverts – cost-effective long-term branding opportunities.
- Static, wall-mounted billboards in areas identified for high impact campaign advertising.
The following static billboards in key strategic areas are available from October:
BELLVILLE CBD – COMMUTER NODE

Voortrekker Road, in the heart of the Bellville CBD. This is a 4 m high X 16 m wide supersite. It is a wall-mounted flex-face, with illumination for 24 hour visibility. The billboard is viewed by traffic on Voortrekker Road coming from Modderdam and Bill Bezuidenhout Roads, one block before they reach the Durban Road intersection. The billboard is also viewed by pedestrians, and commuters using the busy Bellville Bus, Train and Taxi Terminus which is situated one block away from the site.
MARINE DRIVE – PAARDEN EILAND MORNING PEAK HOUR

Marine Drive, between Milnerton and Cape Town CBDs. This is a 4 m high X 16 m wide supersite. It is a wall-mounted flex-face, with illumination for 24 hour visibility. The billboard is viewed by traffic on Marine Drive coming from all the residential extensions of greater Western Seaboard, including Milnerton, Table View, Parklands and Bloubergstrand. The billboard is viewed at the entry point to Paarden Eiland, en route to Cape Town CBD and the N1 Highway. Exposure to morning peak-hour, and the new Rapid Bus Transport System.
From the tri-vision portfolio, for the first time in YEARS, select sites with exposure to morning peak-hour will be available from October onwards, including:
NOTE: All these billboards are 3 m high X 6 m wide, and carry three advertisers displayed consecutively. This is eye-catching, and makes for excellent long-term branding at reasonable rates. The billboards are illuminated at night.
MARINE DRIVE – WOODBRIDGE MILNERTON

Marine Drive, between Milnerton and Cape Town CBDs. This billboard is seen by peak-hour still-standing morning traffic as traffic reaches the end of Milnerton, just before the Boundary Road Intersection. Traffic en route to Cape Town CBD, Southern Suburbs and the N1 Highway. Exposure to ALL RESIDENTIAL nodes of the Western Seaboard.
N1 HIGHWAY – CORNER OF DURBAN ROAD

This billboard is viewed by traffic on the busy N1 Highway on driver’s left, right next to the exit to Durban Road. This gives dual exposure to traffic heading towards Cape Town, as well as traffic as they enter Durban Road. The N1 carries morning peak-hour at this point, traffic coming from the R300 and surrounding residential areas of the Northern Suburbs. Great exposure at one of the busiest exits off the Highway to the Tyger Valley Area.
M5 HIGHWAY – SOUTHERN SUBURBS

Facing the busy M5 Highway, this billboard is viewed by afternoon peak-hour traffic coming from the N2 Highway, Cape Town CBD and Northern Suburbs, entering the Southern Suburbs, just before the Kenilworth Bridge, Access Park and Kenilworth Shopping Centre.
KOEBERG / PLATTEKLOOF INTERSECTION

This billboard is viewed by traffic on Plattekloof Road coming from the N7 Highway towards Milnerton and Table View, as well as traffic on Koeberg Road coming from Table View towards Milnerton and the N7 Highway. This is a very busy intersection, with high traffic volumes all day.
